Tawow is a Cree word meaning ‘a place of shelter’, or a ‘place to come together and rest’. And that’s what our camp is: a place to rest, to ‘come together’ to find oneself in a hustling world.

Tawow is a different sort of resort camp. Nestled on Wekusko Lake, just 40 miles from the mining town of Snow Lake, and 400 miles (600 km) north of Winnipeg, the capital of Manitoba. We offer you a chance to experience the lifestyle of Northern Canadians.

Our facilities are modern, but with a rustic flair. You’ll have your own room in our two story log lodge or you’ll spend the night in a romantic and remote logger’s cabin. Or, if you want, you can spend the night camping under the stars, the way it was done not so long ago. We have many options for our cabin rentals.
